  • Dr. Charity Salyers - Travelers Rest

Dr. Charity grew up in western North Carolina. As a child she was inspired to be a chiropractor, because of her personal experience with chiropractic, as well as, she recognized the benefit  her family received.

Dr. Charity traveled away from home to study chiropractic at the Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri. There she trained in several adjusting techniques and sought out additional education to focus on muscle work. Dr. Charity really appreciates the structure of the skeletal system and the impact it serves the nervous system, but believes the muscles play a key role in the relief process.

After spending time away at school in St. Louis, Dr Charity decided it was time to return home to the Carolinas. Upon returning home, Dr. Charity spent her first year completing her internship at Enhanced Living Chiropractic along side Dr. Nina. Dr. Charity loved sharing the passion and she saw from everyone in the office and staff at Enhanced Living, so she decided to stay on after graduation. Now that she is serving the community of Travelers Rest, she is dedicated to her mission, and the ELC mission, to ensure the same care that drew her to the profession is what they will receive.

  • Dr. Nina Kennedy - Greer

Your relief is most important to us. Chocked off nerves can be damaging over a long period of time. At Enhanced Living we can care for you with little pressure and force, in order to get your nervous system working again. Most people experience reduced pain, some can even notice after visiting the office that other symptoms go away (allergies, headaches, etc.). This is why we know that chiropractic is not only good for back pain and posture, but it is also good for your life.

The techniques Dr. Kennedy uses allows for gentle, accurate adjusting every time. When getting adjusted, some people know chiropractors “crack” and “pop” their back. The “cracks” and “pop” heard by means of a chiropractic adjustment is only one way you can determine a bone has moved. The “cracks” and “pop” are not always heard since it is only a gas exchange between the tissues in the joint space. We use the palpation of spastic muscles, muscle testing and range of motion to determine if the adjustment has been made. X-rays also maybe necessary for proper identification spinal function

Dr. Kennedy has study a variety of ways to adjust the spine including: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, Networks, Bio-Geometric Integration (BGI), Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT) and Upper-Cervical Toggle. Dr. Kennedy’s technique of choice is SOT.
